The weather I rode through on the Cascades 1200 went from overcast skies at the start to rain to heavy wind (tail & head) then near freezing rain finishing with moderate temps.
Day 1, around Enumclaw the skies burst with heavy rain through to Eatonville. The rain subsided for the climb & descent to Packwood, and remained the same for the climb up White Pass. The descent to Clear Lake was quite cold and the Naches & Tieton Rivers added to the lower temps.
The climb up Chinook Pass and return was moderate with the temps rising all the way the Naches bypass to the Vernita Rest Area. Winds took over, the tail winds turned to headwinds on the westward push to Mattawa.
The heat was back on from Dry Falls through the climb up Loup Loup, but then darkness and cold was back for the descent to Twisp and the run to Mazzama. We were lucky to have missed the rain storm the earlier riders experienced. Last day had the ascent of Washington Pass socked in with clouds, and then of course the rain and brrrr cold for the first descent was nothing compared to the long descent down Rainy. Intermittent showers and clear skies were on the menu for the last 100km.
