BC Randonneurs is a not-for-profit organization, and the club works only because riders pitch in at club events and at other levels of club organization. All members are expected to help out at least a little every year. And it can be a fun way to meet and get to know other riders and volunteers. Here are some ways you can help.
Assist with a future ride
There are two main ways:
Contact a Ride Organizer Directly. If there is a specific event you would like to help out on, why not phone or e-mail the organizer? Sometimes ride organizers will post a message on the discussion forum asking for volunteers, and greatly appreciate receiving your responses.
Contact Your Regional Brevet Coordinator. The brevet coordinator is the person best positioned to know where your help is most needed. Here are our four regional coordinators:
| Lower Mainland | Chris Cullum |
| Vancouver Island | Mark Payten |
| Southern Interior | Bob Goodison |
| Peace Region | Wim Kok |
You can also propose to organize a ride by contacting the Regional Brevet Coordinator.
Provide a service to the club
Here are other examples of ways you can contribute:
- Serve on the executive committee
- Help develop or maintain the website (e-mail the Web team at )
- Help curate the newsletter (e-mail )
- Help promote the club as a social media coordinator
