Beautiful day for my ride, and my quickest 300 for quite some time. Temp at the start was -1C, and it bottomed out at -7C. An yes, my bottles froze- again. Topped out at about 10C. So nice to finally have the studded tires off. I estimate that having the studded tires is the equivalent of about a 10 kmh headwind all the time, and when you actually have a headwind as well......

There was a bit on Westside Rd. where there had been a house fire the previous night and the road was a sheet of ice from all the water they had used- very sketchy. Bike lanes and road shoulders were covered with sand so my 55mm beach cruiser tires were just the ticket.
