Crouching Rat 300 300 km April 28, 6 a.m. Ride Organizer: Start/Finish: Vancouver: Calhoun's, 3035 West Broadway Route Sheet [Excel] Route Map Route notes from Chris: The Crouching Rat is a new route that incorporates segments of both Deirdre's Hatzic Hills from last year and Eric's Happy Elephant permanent. There are a few new twists thrown in as well. I have tried to follow less trafficked roads and bike routes where possible. There are a few flat sections of gravel bike paths along way. Most of the hills are stacked in the first half the ride leaving the last half fairly straightforward. I hope the route will provide a little of something for everyone.
