There were changes to the medal process for PBP 2019. In the past the medal was mailed to us after the ride with the finishing time engraved on it. This time, we received the medal at the finish control, and there was a decorative ribbon attached to it so that we could wear it. Following the event a finishing time confirmation card was sent by mail. It encouraged us to engrave our time on the medal.
