| From Gerald: "Pre-start gathering under the old Umineko variety of cherry trees. http://forums.botanicalgarden.ubc.ca/threads/riley-park.36464/ All 3 ride routes probably saw lots of assorted mostly plum and cherry with magnolia etc. 100k ride had many cherry blossoms but mostly Akebono which are quite common all over so I didn't stop to take photos of them and they would not likely have included many cyclists as most were well ahead of me a few km out of the start.
