Fall Islander 200 Saturday, September 14, 2019, 9 riders set out under cloudy skies, with the threat of rain all day long. Luckily, the rain did not come till everyone was safely home. The one newbie to randonneuring, Rowan fared well and said he will do more! Stephen called in and though he’d had a great ride up until 130 km., he was done for the day. Luckily, he was also looking forward to more rides in the near future. Dave White endured one flat tire. Most everyone was able to linger at the finish, sharing tales of summer tours and brevets to come. Many thanks to Mark Payten who did the pre-ride and report and delivery of brevet supplies, Stephen Hinde who tweaked the route sheet, and to Rob Scrimgeour for tremendous assistance at the start and during the ride controls. Congratulations one and all!!
