January REM This is a personal message from permanents co-coordinator Bob Koen. He is referencing to Will Danicek's report. I asked if I could put this in the newsletter. Bob agreed. Of particular note is the fact that this is Bob's first brevet since knee replacement surgery on November 28. So less than two months. [EF] Hi Will, Eric, What a difference a day makes. The previous day had no fog, wet roads and cold temps for about 2 hours, then sunshine and warm temperatures for the rest of the day. It was 15 degrees in Chilliwack. And there was a tailwind from the Rosedale bridge to the mission bridge. My steel and plastic knee was simply not an issue, but the muscles that I haven't been using for the past two months weren't too happy with what I was doing. Bob Koen
