It was a beautiful day for the ride. My first permanent experience and did I ever miss the 'Welcoming Committee' at all of the control stops :(  . I just want to acknowledge all the volunteers and how much of a difference they make for the riders experience on the distance runs. I had no problems navigating the route, although there was a headwind all the way back to Nanaimo, which really slowed me down. I also did this ride solo so I had no one to chase or kick me in the butt. All in all, great route!
