Let me start with a general comment about PBP 2023. The Organizers really figured out how to make the Ramboullet location work for them. It felt like a celebration.

As for this 2023 version of the "plaquette", it is very very similar to the 2019... I see no problem with that. My only complaint is that too many of the photos are very very small. I suppose they are meant to be decorative bursts, but a few more big high-res photos would have better captured the flavour of the event. Plaquette 2019 was better in that respect. Oh, and for the first time there was no printed version of the plaquette - it was available as a PDF on the official PBP web site.

It was wonderful to see the tribute to 12-time finisher, and all around positive force for PBP, Alain Collongue. (Pages 16-18.) Among his many contributions was to organize, correct and publisize on-line the historical results pages. Alain also helping me get the time-ordered PBP results to this site. Another place he was invaluable was in tracking down the early finishers medals, that are now in the medals archive on this site.

The statistics section is interesting as always, though of course we don't mention the first finishers any more... The men's first finisher set a new record, and the first woman's time was the second fastest ever. Magnifique!
