Here are the main stats from this past season's permanent brevets:

Total permanent distance: 19,712 km
Total number of rides: 95
Total number of riders: 22
Number of BC-12 award recipients: 11
Longest Permanent: Mike Hagen (306 km)
"Perma Butt" (most permanent distance): Barry Monaghan (3617 km)

Here are the 11 riders who earned a BC-12 pin for riding a brevet or permanent brevet in 12 consecutive months, ending in 2020:

Calculations were a little trickier this year because of the covid-19 pandemic, and the accompanying shut down months - riders could eliminate shutdown months to prevent interrupting their streaks. Fortunately all riders with on-going streaks still had enough "room" in 2020 to earn their 2020 BC-12 pins. Two riders (Eric and Dave) barely squeaked in with their final credited months being in December instead of September. The formula going forward may be altered, to accommodate on-going uncertainty, but for the moment the BC-12 rules under covid-19 are elsewhere in the newsletter - HERE.
