Baker Cookin' in Tibet

Not all the news from Xizang Province (formerly Tibet) is dire. On a recent spiritual retreat, 2007 BC Randonneurs club pres Gary Baker participated in Audax Xizang's only ACP sanctioned event for 2008 - the Nyainqentanglha Shan 200km - starting and finishing in the capital city of Lhasa. The mountainous out and back route has both a mountain bike and yak category. Congratulations to Baker who finished the more traditional "yak challenge" in 94:23, just within the 4 day time limit.
