"Late Easy Spring Series" New for 2025 is the addition of a second Lower Mainland Spring Series of brevets. You might say a “Late Easy Spring Series”. Recently there’s been lots of debate within the club about the difficulty of rides, what is considered to be an engaging ride, and how rides have progressed over the years. Factors such as elevation, traffic, rider age, and seasonal fitness all come into play in these discussions. So we’re going to try an experiment! In 2025 the goal is to get committed organisers and volunteers to run great rides for the Spring Series. Great is as defined by the ride organizer, and the routes will be “spirited” and “inspired” within reason (no Super 600s or Leg Destroying 200s!). The LESSer brevet series (see what I did there?) will be a different sort of challenge. The routes will aim to: They will not be volunteer supported (would detract from the Spring/Summer series), so the emphasis is on the self-supported nature of Randonneur riding. Hope to see some of you out there! Étienne
