VanIsle 1200

The 2024 edition will be the fourth running of the VanIsle 1200. It will be a fully supported, LRM sanctioned, Grand Randonnée covering the length of scenic Vancouver Island from Victoria to Port Hardy and back.

The following details are preliminary and subject to change:

Waddling Dog Inn
2476 Mt. Newton Cross Road, Saanichton, BC V8M 2B8

Day 1: Saanichton to Comox via Victoria waterfront
Day 2: Comox to Port Hardy
Day 3: Port Hardy to Comox
Day 4: Comox to Mill Bay Ferry
Day 4: Brentwood Bay to Waddling Dog Inn (after ferry)
Day 4: Mill Bay to Mill Bay (alternative finish if the ferry is not available)

We are providing real time tracking of riders during the event. Click here to follow the riders after the event has started at 5:00 AM PDT on June 20, 2024.

Registration fee will include:
- satellite location tracking device
- breakfast before the start on days 1-4
- dinner days 1-3
- overnight accommodation on a shared room basis for nights 1, 2 and 3
- drop bag
- snacks & liquids at selected controls during the riding days
- food and drink at the end of the ride in Victoria
- finishers medal

Accommodation at the start/finish hotel will be available as an option at registration.

Qualification: You must have finished a 600km brevet, or equivalent, in 2022, 2023, or 2024.

Event Fee: $850 (Canadian Dollars) per rider.
